Wristband Information

Online Wristband Presale May 7th - May 26th

New this year, we will be utilizing a wristband system. All students/children (2 years and up) in attendance are required to have a wristband to access the Carnival activities. Students/children will receive 2 separate wristbands. One wristband will show that they have a signed waiver on file, and the other wristband will show that they are eligible to go on rides/attractions.

The wristbands will give children unlimited access to the Fun Slide, inflatables, carnival games, and Water Werks game trailer (limit 1 Water Werks prize per wristband). Children with a wristband can choose between airbrush tattoos, hair feathers, and face painting (limit 2 per wristband). Tabs on the wristbands will be used to indicate the number of items the child has already claimed.

  • Fun Slide and Inflatables - unlimited with wristband
  • Carnival Games - unlimited with wristband
  • Water Werks Game Trailer - unlimited but limit 1 prize per wristband
  • Airbrush tattoos, hair feathers, and face painting - limit 2 per wristband

Students Grades 6th - 12th should ONLY be attending with their younger siblings who are currently enrolled at Rancho Romero! Students, grades 6th - 12th, who qualify to attend will pay the “student ticket” price of $35, ($45 at the Carnival).

Carnival is NOT a fundraiser! The Rancho Romero PTA charges fees to offset the costs of the event. No student will be turned away from the event, if you need financial assistance obtaining a wristband please contact the office!

Parents/guardians must be present to monitor their children - this is not a drop-off event!

Save time and money and don't wait in lines the day of - buy your wristbands now in advance. The advance purchase helps us streamline the event and reduces the number of volunteers needed. Please help us by purchasing your wristbands in advance, buying all of your individual purchases online saves time and effort for everyone!

Wristbands will be distributed to the oldest Rancho student in each family in their classrooms before dismissal on June 1st!

Carnival Food

This year food at Carnival will be catered by both Fuddruckers and El Gran Taco and will be an additional cost for students, siblings, and adults. District rules require us to sell food in advance, there will be very limited options available for purchase at the event. Please order lunch in advance with your preference for the meal below.

Food tickets for parents, siblings, and guests will be distributed to the oldest Rancho student in each family in their classrooms before dismissal on June 1st!

Kona Ice, Cool Beads, and our Carnival Snack Shack will have a variety of frozen desserts, treats, candy, and drinks available for purchase. Please bring additional cash for our famous Snack Shack, Kona Ice, and Cool Beads ice cream beads!

Waivers and Admittance Policies

No student will be admitted without a supervising adult AND a signed waiver for each attendee! Waivers must be signed by parents/guardians.

ALL attendees must have completed the PTA waiver. Please complete the waiver for EVERY member of your “family” that will be attending the event (including grandparents, young children, older siblings, aunts, uncles, etc). Only parents/guardians will be permitted to sign waivers on the day of the event.

You will pick up your student from their classroom at dismissal and walk them to the carnival at the back of the school. Carnival wristbands, waiver wristbands, and food tickets for parents, siblings, and guests will be distributed to the oldest Rancho student in each family in their classrooms before dismissal on June 1st!

Parent Volunteers

We need YOU! It takes a village to put on the Carnival and we simply could not do it without the help of our volunteers. We have lots of different volunteering options available but everything should be relatively quick, easy, and FUN. These volunteer roles are very easy and all can be done with your children in tow. You can manage your kids and lend a helping hand at the event without a problem. Please sign up here to volunteer.

All volunteers will receive a voucher for a free small Kona Ice or Cool Beads frozen treat! Any questions? Please contact Ally Krueger or Anna Matte

4th and 5th Grade Volunteers - Continuing Rancho's Carnival traditions, we will be looking for 4th and 5th-grade student volunteers to oversee the carnival games and Snack Shack. Tell your 4th and 5th graders to look for the sign-up poster at school starting on Thursday, May 18th.

TK/Kindergarten Information

Our TK/K students are dismissed earlier than the older grades. The inflatable attractions, Fun Slide, and Snack Shack will be ready for them at 10:30 am. Face painting, airbrush tattoos, and hair feathers will start at 11:00 am along with El Gran Loco, Fuddruckers, Kona Ice, and Cool Beads. Carnival games and the prize booth open at 12 pm. TK/K kids should have a great time having Carnival all to themselves for the first 90 minutes! Note this will be the best time for Rancho’s youngest students to enjoy all our Carnival attractions with limited lines.

If you have a TK/K student, your family’s Carnival wristbands, waiver wristbands and food tickets for parents, siblings, and guests will be distributed to your TK/K student in their classrooms before dismissal on June 1st!
